Context
The Escape Room runs escape room games in Bucharest, in a market with dozens of competitors on the same searches. Before the project, bookings came almost exclusively from referrals, and the website did not appear on the first pages for “escape room” or “escape room Bucharest”.
- 02
The challenge
A good product and happy customers, but invisible to the people actively searching for an escape room. Every booking depended on referrals or on platforms with commission, and growth could not be planned.
- 03
Insight
The technical audit in the first two weeks found 23 problems: unindexed pages, poor mobile speed, an incoherent heading hierarchy and almost no page built on commercial intent. The problem was not the content, but the foundation and the structure.
- 04
The solution
We repaired the foundation directly in code in the first month: speed under 2 seconds, correct indexing, structured data. In months 2–3 we built pages on commercial intent, for the searches people make when ready to book, not just to read up. Monthly reporting on rankings and bookings.
- 05
The result
The first rankings appeared at 3 months. At 6 months: #1 for “escape room” and “escape room Bucharest”, with +280% online bookings compared with the period before the project. The ranking can be checked at any time, with a Google search.
The bookings figure also depends on the season and on the venue’s game capacity. SEO was the only active channel in the measured period, so attribution is direct, but the growth cannot be replicated identically in other markets.
Extension to pages for corporate events and team building, optimisation for AI engines (GEO) and an own booking system with automated confirmations.
